Merry Christmas DtPb!The wait is over! Ducky, Ted, Pembleton & Blizzard are on Santa Watch! They are tracking Santa using the NORAD Santa Website.

For more than 50 years, NORAD and its predecessor, the Continental Air Defense Command (CONAD) have tracked Santa’s flight… In 1958, the governments of Canada and the United States created a bi-national air defense command for North America called the North American Aerospace Defense Command, also known as NORAD, which then took on the tradition of tracking Santa. We hope you all have been good this year! Merry Christmas!

Fall is a beautiful time of year.  The leaves change colors and fall. The apples are ripe for the picking. The air becomes crisp. It is the start of the new school year and other new beginnings. Ducky and the gang love fall. They enjoy playing in the leaves, apple picking, and most of all Halloween. Every year, they go to a local pumpkin patch and pick the perfect pumpkin for carving. Unfortunately, in Israel we don’t know where a pumpkin patch is, and the local stores do not have traditional American style pumpkins. Then today at the grocery stores, we saw the cutest little acorn squash! They are perfect for DtPb, and helped get them get into the holiday spirit! Plus later tonight the humans are making pumpkin spice cookies (from the US!).

Happy Fall!

“Wait a minute, these aren’t pumpkins!” -Ducky “Nope, but they are gourds.” -Pembleton “What’s a gourd?” -Ducky

*Sorry we haven’t been blogging like we would like. We enjoy Ducky Adventures so much! But this past year has been very difficult (with cancer on both sides of the family and the passing of Laura’s mom). While we’ve been dealing with a lot, it’s time to start up the Ducky blog again. Thanks to everyone for being patient and spread the word- Ducky and the gang are back!

This morning, Ducky and the gang remembered the men and women who served in the US armed forces by visiting a Memorial Day parade.

After the parade, they went to a park. Ducky and the Lil’ Guys threw a football back and forth, while Pembleton roasted some corn on the cob. After lunch, Pembleton taught everyone how to do somersaults on the grass. It was a good day!

"Go loooong!"

“Go loooong!”

To celebrate the new year, Ducky and his friends partied until the ball dropped!

We gonna party like it's 2014!

We hope you have an AWESOME ADVENTUROUS 2014!

Yesterday, Ducky and the gang made a batch of practice cookies for the big guy next week. Afterwards, Ducky suggested they also practice placing the cookies out on the table. Pembleton thought this was strange, but went along with Ducky’s idea anyways.

Later that night, Pembleton and the little guys heard a strange noise coming from the living room. “Ducky do you hear that?” Pembleton asked. But Ducky was no where to be found. “Ted, Blizzard, let’s go investigate!” Pembleton suggested. They quietly crept in to the living room, where they thought they saw Jolly Ol’ Saint Nick munching on the cookies, but when looking closer, it was just a Jolly Ol’ Ducky.

“HOW COULD YOU DUCKY!” Ted cried. “Those were for Santa.”

“Umm…” Ducky mumbled. “I’m not Ducky,” he replied in a deep voice, “I’m Santa’s cousin, Bob. I help with the cookies.”

“You know lying will get you put on the naughty list!” said Blizzard.

“Fine! It’s me, Ducky. But I didn’t want these cookies to go to waste and by next week they will be hard as a rock!”

“Why don’t we eat the cookies together?” Pembleton suggested.

“Great idea!” Ted and Blizzard cheered as they joined Ducky around the cookie plate.

Earlier today Pembleton received a special Christmas package. One so special, there were instructions to open it right away. Ted and Blizzard were so excited, they couldn’t wait for Pembleton to open! “Open it! Open it!” They shouted.

“I don’t know, should I wait for Ducky?” Pembleton asked. He heard a muffled giggle but dismissed it.

“No, you should open it now.” Ted said as he covered his mouth, holding in a laugh.

“Okay. I will.” Pembleton slowly started to open the package- when suddenly it BURST OPEN!

“Surprise!” Ducky shouted as he popped out of the box!

“Not funny,” Pembleton pouted. “You were definitely not on my Christmas wish list!”

MERRY CHRISTMAS PEMBLETON!!
